We’ve all heard the discussions around AI (especially generative AI & LLMs) at this point. This page aims to explain how I myself feel about them, as well as how and in which capacity I use them.

TL;DR: AI-assisted text writing, images, videos, audio, and especially music, can go f*** off. This website and its contents are made by me, a human being. I’ve used AI in some of my coding projects, but I take great care in quality, and have read everything that has been produced by the clankers line for line.

LLM (-assisted) Writing

LLMs (large language models) generate text based on input tokens. I’d like to establish that I do not use AI for writing any text on this website. None of the blog posts or reviews here are written by AI, they’re written by me, an actual human being, because I care about the thoughts that go into such resources. I don’t bother reading clearly AI-generated text, so why should you?

Images & Videos

AI-generated images and videos are an absolute no-go for them. All images on this site are, unless otherwise specified for purposes of displaying something, made by me using classic image editing tools like Affinity, Photoshop and Figma. All videos are filmed by me, probably on my phone, or using screen-capture tools. Pay your artists or learn how to draw.

Audio & Music

AI-generated audio and music have no heart, sound flat, and while they can be funny, lack the soul to be impactful in any meaningful way. The music on this website is me, singing into a microphone, badly mixing it in Ableton 12 Lite, then uploading the MP3 myself. AI is not involved in the process. Again, if you want something to be made for you because you cannot do it, pay your artists or learn how to do it yourself.

Code

This is the interesting bit. I see AI as a tool to be used, I use it as well, I want to be transparent about that. I think there’s nuances there about how it is used. I’d like to be clear that I am a skeptic when it comes to AI, and that while I use it myself for coding, I review everything it puts out, even if that means I am sometimes slower than having written the actual code myself. Why? Easy, because of my ADHD, it’s a huge help for me in getting stuff off the ground. I don’t release code I’ve never looked at. I don’t vibe-code, because I care about what I put out. Quality, longevity, etc. I’m a perfectionist, and AI isn’t going to take that away. I use Claude and Claude Code, because in my eyes, they’re the least worst of the bunch.
